Making Space for Growth, Creation, and Artistic Evolution

Victoria does offer commissions — quietly, happily, and without any pressure. If you’ve ever wanted a painting that reflects your favourite place, your travels, or a moment that matters, she’d love to create something special for you. Send her a message anytime if you’d like to explore a custom piece.Commissioned Artwork

Victoria is devoting her time to her own artwork and a full range of professional development — regular classes, weekend sessions, and online learning. She also leads weekend workshops when a group requests one. With all of this happening, she isn’t able to take on new weekly students right now, but she’s grateful for the interest in her teaching.

Canada Paints Plein Air
Past President: Victoria Zyluk
A legacy of connection, creativity, and joyful outdoor painting
As Past President of Canada Paints Plein Air, Victoria Zyluk is fondly recognized for the energy, clarity, and heart she brought to the organization during her time in leadership. Her tenure helped shape CPPA into a welcoming, artist‑centred community — one where painters of all experience levels could gather outdoors, learn from one another, and celebrate the beauty of the landscapes around them.
Victoria’s leadership was marked by her gift for creating atmosphere: paint‑outs that felt relaxed and inclusive, seasonal events that sparked inspiration, and community moments that reminded artists why plein air painting feels so alive. She championed accessibility, creativity, and collaboration, ensuring that CPPA’s programming reflected the joy and openness at the core of the group.
Working alongside board members, volunteers, and partner organizations, Victoria strengthened CPPA’s presence within Calgary’s arts community and helped build a foundation that continues to support artists today. Her steady guidance and warm, encouraging spirit remain part of the organization’s identity.
Though she has stepped back from the board, Victoria’s influence lives on — in the friendships formed, the confidence she nurtured, and the countless artists who found their place in the plein air world because she made space for them.

"PAFF" Plein Air For Fun
🎨 P.A.F.F. is: -
A light‑hearted, low‑pressure plein air gathering that Victoria created so artists can simply paint for the joy of it. No jurying, no competition, no critique circles sharpening their knives — just people outside with their kits, enjoying the day, the company, and the act of making something.
🌿 Why it matters
P.A.F.F. is very Victoria:
-
welcoming
-
playful
-
community‑building
-
rooted in genuine love of painting outdoors
-
free of intensity when you need a break from serious art world energy.
It’s the “bring your thermos, bring your sense of humour, bring your willingness to get sunburnt," club.
