Sparkle

Acrylic on Canvas, Framed by Victoria Zyluk

Sparkle captures the shifting light and colour of a woodland pond, where reflections transform the water into a tapestry of blue, violet, lavender and rose. Slender trees rise around the water’s edge, their remaining autumn leaves picked out in brilliant touches of orange and gold.

Across the foreground, dancing strokes of pale cream and white suggest light catching the rippled surface, giving the painting its sense of sparkle and movement. Victoria’s expressive brushwork keeps the landscape loose and lively, while the strong contrasts of warm and cool colour create depth throughout the scene.

There is a lovely sense of transition in Sparkle: autumn colour lingers in the trees while the cooler tones of the water hint at the changing season. Vibrant yet peaceful, the painting celebrates those fleeting moments when ordinary light transforms a landscape into something quite extraordinary.
