Welcome to Art Show Season

The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and the studio lights are glowing—fall has arrived, and so has a full slate of art shows. I am heading headfirst into a whirlwind season of creativity, connection, and community. Some weekends are stacked with back-to-back shows, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Whether you’re a longtime collector, a curious newcomer, or just someone who enjoys being surrounded by beautiful things, you’re warmly invited to stop by. No pressure, no pretense—just art, conversation, and maybe a few surprises along the way.

We’ll be sharing updates, reflections, and behind-the-scenes glimpses right here every Monday and Thursday. So grab your coffee, mark your calendars, and come say hello. We’d love to see you.

How to Know You're Safe Buying Art from Beyond Art

Purchasing art online should feel as personal and secure as buying it in person. I want you to feel confident every step of the way. Here’s how you can be sure our site is safe and trustworthy:

 1. Secure Website (HTTPS)

Look at the URL: it starts with https://—that “s” stands for secure. It means all data you enter (like payment info) is encrypted and protected.

 2. Powered by Wix

My site is built on the Wix platform, which is known for its robust security features:

  • PCI-compliant payment processing

  • SSL encryption

  • Trusted third-party payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal

3. No Hidden Fees or Sketchy Pop-Ups

You won’t find any surprise charges or suspicious ads. What you see is what you get—transparent pricing and clear product descriptions.

 4. Direct Contact with the Artist

Still unsure? You can reach out directly to me through the contact form or email. I'm happy to answer questions or even arrange alternative payment methods if you prefer.

 5. Local and Personal

I'm a Calgary-based artist, and my reputation is built on personal connections and community trust. You’re not buying from a faceless brand—you’re supporting a real person with a passion for art.

“Art is personal, and so is your experience with me. We’re here to make sure your journey—from browsing to buying—is as beautiful and secure as the artwork itself.”

General Art Show Etiquette

 Respect the Artwork

  • No touching unless explicitly invited—some pieces are fragile or irreplaceable.

  • Avoid unsolicited critiques. If you don’t like a piece, silence is golden. Sarcasm disguised as humor can still sting.

  • Don’t compare artists or say things like “I could make that.” It diminishes the artist’s vision and effort.

 Respect the Artist

  • Be mindful of monopolizing their time. Artists want to connect with many guests, not just one person holding court for 30 minutes.

  • Ask thoughtful questions about their process or inspiration, but keep it concise.

  • Avoid interrupting conversations—wait your turn or circle back later.

 Respect Other Guests

  • Don’t dominate the room with your own art stories unless invited. It’s not your show.

  • Keep your voice at a conversational level—art shows are often quiet, reflective spaces.

  • Dress appropriately—not necessarily formal, but respectful of the event’s tone.

 Respect the Space

  • Ask before taking photos. Some artists prefer their work not be photographed.

  • Follow venue rules—no food, drinks, or flash photography if prohibited.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of showcasing my work at Passport To The Arts 2025. It was a truly successful and rewarding day. I had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of exhibitors and shoppers, and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and energy throughout the event.

While I’ve only had time to download a few of the photographs so far, I’m looking forward to sharing more visuals and highlights later this week. If you're interested in seeing and hearing more about the exhibition, feel free to check in with me on Thursday.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported the event—it meant a great deal.

Warm regards, Victoria
